In partnership with , SolSea has implemented smart messaging - wallet-to-wallet chatting. If you want to message a creator on SolSea directly, you can do so by sending them a message via wallet.

First, make sure your wallet is connected. Then navigate to the profile of a creator you want to send a message to and click on 'Contact Creator'.

A chat window will pop up and you will be asked to verify your wallet. If you're not using a ledger wallet, just click 'Sign message'. Approve the transaction that pops up - you will not pay any fees, it's a free transaction.

Once you've verified your wallet by signing the message transaction, click on 'Message Creator' to create a chat thread.

You can choose whether you want to send off-chain or on-chain messages. On-chain messages are written into the blockchain so if you want to send on-chain messages, keep in mind that you will have to pay small fees for each message you send. You will also have to leave a rent deposit (0.058 SOL) which you will get back if you delete the chat thread.

When you have chosen which type of messages you want to send, click 'Create thread' and a chat thread will open up. Now, all you have to do is type your message and send it!

To check if you have any messages yourself, click on 'Chat' in the header.

You can also message a creator directly by opening clicking on 'Chat', opening the chat window and entering the creator's wallet address in the field (see image below) before creating the thread.
